Krumlov circuit

Český Krumlov – Zátes – Zátoň – Branná – Přízeř – Rožmberk nad Vltavou – Rožmitál na Šumavě – Přídolí – Zahoránky – Český Krumlov

Start your cycling trip in Český Krumlov, from where you can follow the marked cycle route to Rožmberk nad Vltavou. After visiting the castle, head back to Český Krumlov via Rožmitál in Šumava. On the way you can enjoy beautiful views and historical monuments.

In total, you will ride 51 km on a moderately demanding route, suitable for cross (trekking) bikes.

Rožmberk nad Vltavou – Trojany

Rožmberk nad Vltavou – Trojany

Most of the route is on forest and dirt roads and also on third-class roads. From Rožmberk you will go through two crossroads and reach the village of Trojany.

In total, you will cover 11.5 km on an easy route.

Vyšší Brod – Kaplice

Vyšší Brod – Hrudkov – Rožmberk nad Vltavou – Rožmitál na Šumavě – Hněvanov – Bujanov – Omlenice – Kaplice

From Vyšší Brod, follow the road signs in the direction of Rožmberk nad Vltavou, Bujanov to Kaplice. The path will lead you on paved or asphalt surface on special purpose roads and third class roads.

In total, you will ride 27 km on a moderate to difficult route, suitable for trekking and MTB bikes.

Vltava Canyon Circuit

Vyšší Brod – Mnichovice – Kapličky – Spáleniště – Přední Výtoň – Frýdava – Frymburk – Lipno nad Vltavou – Čertova stěna – Loučovice – Vyšší Brod

You will start your journey in Vyšší Brod from where you will take the cycle route number 1033 to Spáleniště. The route will take you through the Vltava valley and the national nature reserve Čertova stěna. From Spáleniště, continue along the 1019 route to Frýdava. From Frymburk, follow the Šumava Highway to Vyšší Brod.

In total, you will ride 40 km on a moderately demanding route, suitable for cross (trekking) bikes.

Vyšší Brod – Lipno

Vyšší Brod – Lipno nad Vltavou – Přední Výtoň – U Mostu – Svatý Tomáš – Vyšší Brod

From Vyšší Brod take the cycle route number 33, on the way you will see the Devil’s Wall and go in the direction of Lipno nad Vltavou. Follow the road along the Lipno River and cross the dam, continue to Přední Výtoň and take cycle route 1019 to the place U Mostu, from there you will have a steep climb to the place Svatý Tomáš. Then you will descend gently back to Vyšší Brod.

In total, you will ride 59 km on a moderately demanding route, suitable for cross (trekking) bikes or mountain (MTB) bikes.

České Velenice – Vyšší Brod

České Velenice – Nové Hrady – Dlouhá Stropnice – Horní Stropnice – Dobrá Voda – Hojná Voda – Staré Hutě – Žofín – Rychnov nad Malší – Dolní Dvořiště – Trojany – Horní Dvořiště – Dolní Drkolná – Vyšší Brod

From the village of České Velenice, go through several crossroads to the Vyšné signpost, then to another signpost U Nakolic and drive to Nové Hrady, where you can visit the chateau. After the tour, continue to the signposts Městský Mlýn, U křížku, through several crossroads you will reach Dlouhá and Horní Stropnice, from where you continue to the villages Dobrá Voda and Hojná Voda. Continue to Staré Hutě and from the signpost Mlýnský vrch to Černé Údolí and then to Žofín. You will reach the signpost Hutský rybník and through several crossings you will reach Uhlištský rybník, continue to the homestead Leopoldov and to the signposts Horní Příbrání, Dolní Příbrání, Pod Tokaništěm. From the Svatý Kámen signpost, head to Rychnov nad Malší and Dolní Dvořiště. Follow the village of Trojany and through several crossroads and crossings you will reach the Český Heršlák Chateau. From there you will head towards Horní Dvořiště, Dolní Drkolná and through the Herbertov estate you will reach Vyší Brod.

In total, you will travel 95 km on a challenging route, where you will ride most of the way on carriage roads and third-class roads.
