The Hochficht Ski Resort is the second largest ski resort in Upper Austria with an elevation of 404 metres, where the European Cup was held. All within driving distance of a few tens of minutes. Snow conditions are guaranteed by modern snow cannons covering 100% of the slopes.

The Sternsteinwarte lookout tower at the top of the 1,125-metre-high Sternstein, built in 1899 in honour of Franz Joseph I. It offers views in all directions of the world – the South Bohemian hinterland, the Bohemian Forest and, in good weather, the Alps. It is easily accessible by a marked trail and is open all year round. Entrance is free of charge.
